Joanne Kampton (nee McNealy), passed away suddenly Sunday, March 15th. Beloved wife and friend to Nikolas for 40 years, adored mother of Katy and Maggie Riazzi (Tony). Loving grandmother to Henry Nikolas. Cherished sister of the late James (Lorraine), Donna Cook (Quinn), and Kenneth (Margaret). Proud aunt to many nieces and nephews, friend to all. A woman of great faith and a true Christian, she was an example of unconditional love, kindness, and forgiveness. One of the rare few whose genuinely sweet nature shone brightly. Joanne was one of the first female members of the Chicago Board of Trade and the Chicago Board Options Exchange, carrying on a tradition begun by her father, brothers, and husband. A Beverly native, she was never shy about Southside superiority and was a proud Mother McAuley alum. An avid traveler, she most enjoyed trips with her family and was eager for the next adventure. Visitation Thursday from 3 to 9pm at Hallowell & James Funeral Home 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Everyone is asked to assemble directly at Church on Friday, March 20, for a 10am Mass of Christian Burial at Old St. Pat’s Church, 700 W. Adams St., Chicago. Services will conclude at Church. Private family Interment at Bronswood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to Old St. Pat’s Church (above address) would be appreciated. Funeral Home Phone: (708) 352-6500.
