Robert John Gorsky died peacefully in his sleep, passing into the Lord’s presence on 1/18/17 after 3 days in hospice care at Oak Trace. He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Laura (Schroeder) Gorsky, and by his wife Evelyn (Anderson) who died 9/2/86 after 33 years of marriage. They had 6 children: Bob (& Barbara), Lynn, Laura (& Ronald), John (& Mary Lou), Steven (& Jenny), and Peter. He is survived by his beautiful: children; 9 grandchildren –Addalyn, Amy (& Danny), Ben (& Beth Ann) Bryan, Jeremy, Noah, Ryan, Sara and Sean; and 2 great grandchildren – Samuel and Hyatt. He was a lifeguard on the Chicago beaches, in the Navy Reserves, an electrician with IBEW 134 working most of his life with Crescent Engineering, and active in the First Presbyterian Church of LaGrange for many years. Visitation begins 10am followed by the memorial service at 11am on Thursday, February 9 at Yorkfield Presbyterian Church, 1099 S. York Rd, Elmhurst, IL.
