Donald D. Papineau, age 72, of Downers Grove. US Navy Veteran, Vietnam War. Beloved husband of Pauline Kay. Loving father of Laura (Rick) Dishman and Art (Michelle) Papineau. Devoted grandfather of Robert, David, Michael, Jacob, Lily and Jayden. Dear brother of Sandi (James) St. Peter and the late Sharon (Ernie) Smith. Visitation 3-9pm Friday May 15th at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 301 75th St., Downers Grove. Prayers 9:15am Saturday May 16th from the funeral home to St. Mary of Gostyn Church for Mass at 10am. My most vivid memory of our neighbor Don was his smile and the kindness in his voice when he greeted us while we were walking Sammie and Buddy. His heartfelt displays during every Holiday brightened the skies and brought smiles to everyone’s faces. He was a courageous man and Veteran and also a leader in Boy Scouts. He made a difference in many peoples lives. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
