Vernon Millsap, 83, of Hodgkins.  Beloved husband of Alida.  Loving father of Vernon (Diane), David (late Lisa), Lida (Allan) Mills, Margery (Mark) Bobysud, Robert (Beverly), Ernest (Joan) and the late Larry.  Devoted grandfather of 16.  Dear great-grandfather of 8.  Also survived by a sister, Dorothy (late Joe) Stevenson, and many nieces and nephews.  Visitation 9:30am until time of Funeral Service 11am Saturday, March 4, 2016 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 6605 South Kane Avenue, Hodgkins.  Interment St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Immanuel Lutheran Church appreciated.  Vern was very devoted to his family and loved the outdoors and working in the garage.  He was a former Trustee for the Village of Hodgkins, and he was a retired millwright from Reynolds Aluminum with 43 years of service.  Arrangements entrusted to Hallowell & James Funeral Home at 708/352-6500
