Beatrice “Bea” Marie Zima nee Prazak, 97, of Genoa City, WI, formerly of Chicago and Bolingbrook. Beloved wife of the late Joseph. Loving mother of Pamela (David) Plencner, Alison (Kenneth) Prokopec and the late Sharon. Devoted grandmother of Kimberly (Vince) Ramos, Kelly (fiancé Adam Marevka) Slavik, John (Janice) Prokopec and Blake (Rebecca) Prokopec, Alison (Ryan) Lowry and Tyler Prokopec. Dear great-grandmother of Joseph, Jonathan and Joslyn Ramos, Alexandria, Danielle and Haily Slavik, Collin, Lauren, Bennett and Ethan Prokopec, Nicholas and Brooke Prokopec and Logan Lowry. Fond sister of the late Mathilda Durchanek, the late Frances Gruntorad, the late William and the late Frank Prazak. Dear aunt of many. Visitation 4 to 9pm Thursday, February 6 at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Prayers 9:30am Friday, February 7 at the funeral home to St. Cletus Catholic Church, LaGrange for Mass at 10am. Interment private. Aunt Bea was one of my favorite relatives. She had worn pink a few times when I was little and I associated her with that. After that she would make sure to wear pink when she knew I was going to be around. I called her the Pink Lady. I will always remember how sweet she was. She had such a gentle way about her.
My condolences. Loved Aunt Bea very much. Due to very poor health, we will not be able to attend the wake or funeral. I can’t walk more than 6 feet without gasping for breath. I use oxygen all the time. Please don’t feel hurt or insulted.
