Jane Burns Stacy (nee Payne) age 101, a 72 year resident of Western Springs passed away Sunday morning. Beloved wife of the late Fred Burns and the late Don Stacy; loving mother of Bruce (Claire) Burns; devoted grandmother of Garry (Samantha) Burns. Jennifer (Keith) Rathmel, Jane (Jesse) Gentry and Lydia Burns; proud great-grandmother of Alyssa McFeely, Owen Rathmel, Chloe Rathmel, Mazzilynn Burns and Grace Gentry; cherished great-great grandmother of Bently McFeely. She devoted her entire adult life as a volunteer at the Theatre of Western Springs where she had been a member since1944, and was founder Mary Cattell’s right hand woman and best friend. In 1994 she was named Active Laureate, the theatre’s highest honor. Visitation will be on Friday, Jan. 2 from 5 pm to 9 pm at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St. Countryside, IL 60525. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 3 at 2 pm at First Congregational Church of Western Springs 1106 Chestnut St., Western Springs, IL 60558.
