Edith Majors Luers, 90, of LaGrange. Beloved wife of the late Arthur. Loving mother of Lisa Schumann and the late Lynda Luers. Devoted grandmother of Jane and Julie. Also survived by a sister, Jean (late Alex) Hickey. Fond aunt of many. Graveside service 11am Monday, Jan. 5th at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield. I was very sorry to hear about Aunt Edith’s passing. What a wonderful, fun lady she was! I have many fond memories of her — from watching her ride our motorcycles at the farm, visiting her several times in Washington, and of course, all of the family reunions (too many of which I missed as we grew older). I could always count on Aunt Edith being delightful company, with a genuine interest in how everyone else was doing, and full of life and fun. Our hearts are with you. My son Aaron, who lives in Seattle and saw Edith a number of times while she lived in Washington, also sends his regards along with those of his family. It’s so hard to lose our parents, but you were blessed with a couple of great ones.
