Jamie Mangan King, age 60, passed away January 10th, 2015. Jamie is survived by her mother, Joanell, husband, Geary, two children, G.J. and Mackenzie, G.J.’s wife, Isabelle, granddaughter, Julia, and brothers John, Jim, and Jerry. Jamie was an extraordinary woman. In addition to being an incredible mother, wife, and daughter, she was a business leader in the Hinsdale community with her firm, Mangan King Associates, with which she worked in interior design and home building before turning to real estate. She worked with the Hinsdale Assembly as one of their leaders for many years, helping to raise donations for the Hinsdale Hospital, plan the Hinsdale Assembly Ball, and share the spirit of charity to young women each year. Jamie was an exceptionally humble person. She never failed to put others before herself. She touched countless lives and will be dearly missed. All are welcome to attend a Funeral Mass which will be held Saturday, Jan. 17th, 10:00 a.m. at St. Isaac Jogues, 306 West 4th Street, Hinsdale, followed by a celebratory luncheon at the Hilton Oak Brook Hills Resort, 3500 Midwest Road, Oak Brook. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hinsdale Hospital Foundation, 120 North Oak Street, Hinsdale. Arrangements entrusted to Hallowell & James Funeral Home, Countryside.
