John Nixon Stellwagen, 72, of LaGrange, IL died suddenly at his home on March 11, 2015. Son of the late William and Sylvia (nee Nixon) Stellwagen, he is survived by his wife of 41 years Gale (nee Jones) Stellwagen, daughters Leslie Stellwagen and Laura (Daniel) Zeman, and his adored and adoring granddaughter Matilda. Graduate of North Park Academy, Arizona State University, and Northwestern University. John began his career as a high school English teacher, but perfected it as a salesman, seer, and sage. RIP John.
Gale…I’m so sorry to see this sad bit of news. My thoughts are with you and your family …. I think if you often … KBJ
I know we said so many times, but thank you, John, for years of service to Control Engineering, for helping us smile, for frequent literary references to keep us thinking, for good meals, and candy bars. (Also thanks from me, for the advice to switch to a more back-friendly means of carrying things around. I finally did in 2013.)
