Robert Murray Norris, age 88, passed away Friday, June 19, 2015. United States Army and Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Retired from Metra after a long railroad career. Beloved husband of 62 years to Joann (Mahoney) Norris. Loving father of Roberta (Loren) Morris, Jeffrey (Nadine) Norris, and Barbara (John) Coates. Proud grandfather of 12 grandchildren. Brother to Hubert Norris (Valparaiso, IN), brother-in-law to William F. Mahoney (West Chester, PA). Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his cherished daughter Tara Lynn Norris. Burial will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois.
