Charles “Chuck” Rubin
Charles “Chuck” Rubin, MD, age 62, of La Grange, passed away suddenly on Friday, July 17. He is survived by his wife Gretchen; children Liz, Jane, Lucy and Claire; brothers Michael, Peter and Richard; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation Tuesday, July 21, from 3 to 8:30 pm at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Funeral Mass 10am Wednesday, July 22, at St. Francis Xavier Church in LaGrange. Interment Bronswood Cemetery in Oak Brook. Donations may be made to the Charles M. Rubin Memorial Fund, Department of Pediatrics, University of Chicago, 5721 S. Maryland Ave. – Chicago, IL.
Dr. Rubin, to this day you are missed. My son whom you cared for and my wife speak about you even now and how special of a man you were. The times I was able to be with my wife and son when they came to see you I always pictured God building and then creating a man that would be born to work with children. I know you are no longer physically with us and I didn’t know you nearly as well as my wife and son but it only took one meeting to know what a great man you were. I thank you for all that you did for my family and how you took care of them the many, many times they came to see you. God bless Dr Rubin.
