Theodore J. Bruck (“Capt. Ted”) of Hinsdale. U.S. Army Veteran. Beloved husband of Marcelline A. (nee Quintell); devoted father of Linda (Charles) Benson, Diana (Bill Heyse) Faust and Alice Bruck; cherished grandfather of Christina (Jesse Langdon) Benson, Robert Benson, Cynthia Benson, David Benson, Amy Faust and the late Mary Faust; proud great-grandfather of Malachi and Elijah Langdon; dear brother of Marie (Herb) Molk, Dorothy (Charles) Norwood and the late John Bruck, the late Rose Dittburner and the late Rita Pietsch; special uncle to Thomas Molk and many other nieces and nephews. As a certified captain, merchant mariner and proud former member of the Chicago Yacht Club with more than 70 years on the water, Captain Ted shared his love of boating with many. For over 55 summers, you could find him in one of the beautiful Chicago Park District harbors. Though Ted was a Realtor and residential rehabber for many years, it was his second career as the captain of the SunSea that brought him the most fulfillment. Memorial Visitation Friday, April 15, from 3 to 9pm at Hallowell & James Funeral Home 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside, where a Prayer Service will be held at 7pm that evening. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Thomas Hospice are appreciated. Service Info: (708) 352-6500
