June Prokes, nee Lenke, of Downers Grove, born August 10, 1925 and passed away July 4, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Irvin. Loving mother of Ronald (Deborah) Prokes, Cheryl Prokes-Pierce and Debra (Peter) Seyfert. Devoted grandmother of Laura, Scott, Sara, Jennifer, Vicki, Jamie, Jonathan and Ashley June. Adoring great-grandmother of 17. Visitation 9-11am Saturday, July 9th at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 301 75th St., Downers Grove, proceeding to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Downers Grove for funeral service at 11:30am. Mrs. Prokes was a lovely lady, who will live forever in the hearts of those whose lives she touched. From childhood through adulthood, she enriched my life in so many ways. She was kind, loving, caring, generous – and always eager to tell you and show you how special you are. I was blessed to have Mrs. Prokes in my life; she holds a place in my heart which will be hers forever. I will surely miss her, but I will never forget her. My love and deepest sympathy to her entire family.
