Alfonso “Buddy” Owens, age 88, of LaGrange, IL; beloved husband of Lynne (nee Diehl) for 49 years; loving father of Joli Burrell, Kim Cox, Gary Owens, the late Consuelo Owens, Queen Muzari, Wesley Owens, and Lisa Owens; dear brother of John (Dorothy), Renaford (late Vera), and Kermith (Mary) Owens, the late Laura Emery and the late Eileen Brown; son of the late Elizabeth (nee Cole) and John Q. Owens. Alfonso proudly served as a Corporal in the Army Air Force and played baseball in the Negro Leagues where he is a member of the Hall of Fame.  Memorial donations given to the Alzheimer’s Association are appreciated.
