William Earl Pennington, 74, of Lyons. Beloved husband of Patricia for nearly 53 years. Loving father of William James (Susan) Pennington and Kathleen (Richard) Kostner. Dear grandfather of Steven (Meghan) and Rebecca Pennington and Katharine and Margaret Kostner. Devoted brother of Catherine (Sam) Caldarazzo, Lorraine (Kaj) Hermansen and the late Robert (Ann) Pennington. Caring son, loving uncle and cousin. Through a courageous battle with cancer, Bill fought for his family and inspired all with his determination and faith in God. Spent his lifetime devoted to family and was called home surrounded by love. Affectionately known as “Mr. Bill” to his many friends of all generations and much adored master and companion to his dog, Tippy. Visitation 3 to 9pm Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at HALLOWELL & JAMES FUNERAL HOME, 1025 West 55th Street, Countryside. so sorry to here of your loss will pray for the family. did not know him but he sounds like a great man and is now in a better place with no more pain my granddaughter Meghan is married to steve.
