Walter W. Bronson, age 89, of Chicago. US Navy Veteran / WWII. Member and former chairman of the board of Local #2 IUEC. Beloved husband of Susan, nee Kapolnek and the late Eileen O’Brien. Loving father of Walter, Peter, Mary (Frank) Gogliotti, Therese (Paul) Yaeger, Patricia (Dominic) Partipilo, Rita (Stephen) Wilmes, Kathleen (David) Doyle, Clare (Scott) DeVries, Julia (Daniel) Quinn, Monica Bennett, Michael, Daniel (Angelica) and Joseph (Kathryn) and step-father of Christine (Peter) Swenson, Constance (Jeff) Mazzetta and Carrie (William) Weber. Adoring grandfather of 34 and step-grandfather of 9. Proud great-grandfather of 25. Dear brother of Jim and Perry. Visitation 2-9pm Monday November 28th at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 301 75th St., Downers Grove. Prayers 9am Tuesday November 29th from the funeral home to St. Mary of Gostyn Church for Mass at 10am. Interment at Assumption Cemetery in Glenwood will be private. Walter was a great boss, great friend and a Great Person. He taught a Lot of people how to be elevator constructors and make a good living for their families.
