Marie H. Franciscus
Marie H. Franciscus was born on 9/23/1924 to Theresa and Matthew Franciscus in Chicago, IL; beloved sister of Florence (Wayne) Whitman, Magdalen (Johannes) Jonker, and the late Genevieve Franciscus; loving aunt to 2 nieces, 5 nephews, 4 great-nieces, 6 great-nephews, 5 great-great nieces, and 2 great-great nephews.
She was a Legal Secretary working in downtown Chicago for prominent attorneys for many years. She was also an excellent musician, and excelled in playing the baritone horn in many concerts winning first place honors. She was a loyal benefactor to the Chicago Symphony and enjoyed attending their concerts for many years. She was very generous in contributing to her church and many worthy causes. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Monday, January 9, 2017 at the Congregation of St. Joseph Chapel, 1515 W. Ogden Ave., LaGrange Park, IL. It was a pleasure to get to know both Marie and her sister Genevieve. Such wonderful, kind and fun women to be able to call your friends. They will be kept alive by our many memories that we were blessed to have them around.
