Earl “Bruce” Millar, IV. 4/6/1935 – 1/9/2017, married to Diane nee: Gooley for 44 years.  Proud father of Meri McLaughlin (Tom) and Heather Schulz (Gene). Grandfather of Kendall and Haley. Son of the late Nedra Needham Millar and Earl Bruce Millar III. Brother of the late Dodd Rowan Millar (RoseAnn) and the late Jonathan Needham Millar. Undefeated high school cross country racer, Naval Veteran and Submariner.  Former racecar driver, sailboat racer including a season as crew on the top boat in his class on Lake Michigan and motocross racer. Loved his days of scuba diving with his daughter Meri and son-in-law Tom.  Happiest when competing with his numerous Flat Coated Retrievers in Obedience, Field and Agility alongside his daughter Heather, his Flat Coat Friends and dog friends.  Retired from Argonne National Labs, most of his career attached to Atlas. Memorial visitation Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017 from 3 to 9pm at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th Street, Countryside. Interment 11am Friday, Jan. 13, 2017 at Graceland Cemetery, Chicago.
