Judy Burke (nee Sapp) of Burr Ridge; beloved wife of the late Dr. Edward J. Burke; loving mother of Mary (Mike) Bromet and Dan (Raphiza) Burke; dear grandmother of Patrick, Katherine, Lauren, Camilla, Madeline, & Declan; fond sister of Jack (Toni) Sapp, Gene (Norma) Sapp, and the late Roger (Carol) Sapp; aunt and friend of many. Visitation Mon., Feb. 13 at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside from 3 to 9pm. Funeral prayers, Tues. Feb 14, 10:45am from the funeral home to St. John of the Cross Church, Western Springs. Mass 11:15am. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Our sincere condolences to the family of Judy Burke. Mrs. Burke was the fifth grade teacher for all three of my children. She also took the fifth graders to George Williams College every year. My husband, Ron, was lucky enough to accompany her and the students three times. And now she has fought a gallant battle and will be sorely missed. God bless you, Mrs. Burke, and thank you for all that you gave the 5th graders of Garfield School.
