Albert Anthony ‘Tony’ Burkes, V, age 20, of LaGrange Park. Beloved son of Esther Meadors and the late Albert Randolph Burkes, IV; devoted brother of Cecilia (Zacarias) Carmona, Amber (Jiries) Burkes, Jessica (Adam) Neel, Christina (Ryan) Moul, Christopher Burkes, Shemuel Yisrael, & Jonathan Meadors; dear grandson of Albert Burkes, III; loving uncle of many. Visitation 3 to 9pm, Wednesday, August 30 at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Visitation continues on Thursday, August 31, from 9am until time of service, 10am, at the funeral home. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Lyons Township High School Best Buddies or the Lyons Township High School Special Olympics Basketball team are appreciated. Tony was my friend at LT. We played basketball and bowled together. We were both in the Friendship Club, too. One time at a birthday party, we drank soda together all night and then tried to see who could burp the loudest! Fun times!
