Alice White Myers, 87 of Elmhurst, IL passed away at home surrounded by family on January 7 2018. Alice was born on December 7, 1930 to her parents Dorothy and Thomas White. Alice and her three sisters were raised in Villa Park where she attended St. Alexander’s grade school and Immaculate Conception High School before she began her studies at Marycrest College. Alice worked at Container Corporation of America (Smurfit-Stone Container) where she met and later married her husband Norman C. Myers in 1958. They resided in Western Springs, where Alice was an active member of St. John of the Cross parish, enjoyed playing golf and knitting prayer shawls for the ill. Alice is survived by three daughters; Lisa Biegler, Amy Myers and Kathe Ehlert, one son Christopher, two sisters; Audrey Feeley and Patricia Bergman. She was predeceased by her oldest sister Dorothy Grundin. Alice is the proud Guya to Melanie, Julia, Thomas and Hank. Friends are invited to meet with the family for a visitation beginning at 8:45am followed by a Catholic Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Friday, January 12, 9:45am at St. John of the Cross Church, 5005 S. Wolf Rd., Western Springs. Interment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Providence Hospice.
