Louise Emma Thorson, 66, of LaGrange Park. Beloved sister of Karen (Paul) Jargstorf and Kathleen Thorson. Loving aunt of Paula (Tim) Adamson, and Michelle, Paul (Sarah) and Christopher (Melissa) Jargstorf. Dear great-aunt of Chelsea Jargstorf-Benbenek, Raymond Jargstorf, Colton Jargstorf-Benbenek, and Presley, Brady, Olivia and Caroline Jargstorf. Visitation 3 to 9pm Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Prayers 11am Friday, May 11, 2018 at the funeral home to St. Cletus Church, LaGrange for Mass at 11:30am. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to ISD 109/WJH Band or the American Cancer Society appreciated. Miss Thorson taught music at St. Cletus School for 30 years and she was an avid Cubs fan. Bless you Louise for your love and generosity to our family. She gave us the gifts of friendship and music. My son Richard was a trumpet student of Louise’s for over 14 years. She shaped him to be a tremendous trumpet player.
I was her “oldest” student. I started flute lessons with Louise 5 years ago. Not only did Louise teach me to play flute, she taught me how to hear music . This ability has changed my life in a profound manner.
I will miss our weekly lessons and happy conversations about life. Richard will miss a dear soul who was more like a grandmother to him than a teacher.
