Dorothy Helen Wunluck, 95, of Westmont, formerly of Hinsdale. Beloved wife of the late Alfred. Loving mother of Joy (Frank) Meitz, Wayne (Debbie), the late Bruce (Sandra) and the late Mark Wunluck. Devoted grandmother of Jeffrey (Aimee) Wunluck, Beth (Jim) Rothfuchs, Wade (Adela) Meitz and Dana (Jason) Baichtal. Dear great-grandmother of Kyle and Kaela Wunluck, Gavin, Logan and Braden Rothfuchs, Eric and Adam Meitz, Colin and Shane Baichtal. Fond sister of Alma (late Edward) Jaeger, the late John (late Helen) Leimer, and the late Lydia (late John) Pederson. Dear aunt of many. Visitation 9:30am until Funeral Service 10:30am Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 525-63rd Street, Downers Grove, Illinois 60516. Interment Bethania Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (address above) appreciated. Dorothy was always very active in church activities, including singing in the choir. Aunt Dorothy was SUCH a PRECIOUS LADY!! She was Mom’s Aunt (Myrna) but she was Aunt to us also! She remembered each of us on our birthdays, always with a stick or two of Juicy Fruit gum. She would send me Juicy Fruit and a small pair of earrings, every year, without fail. She’d wrap the earrings in a Kleenex so they wouldn’t get smashed during the mailing. As I remember her, being at her house – both in Chicago and the move to Hinsdale, playing with cousins Mark & Wayne, and she loved to talk on the phone. We had many good talks back in the day. She was VERY LOVED and will be missed! I love you Aunt Dorothy!! Till we meet again!

Aunt Dorothy, my Mama’s (Alma) sister, will always be dear to my heart and our whole family. She was like a second mother to me as we “visited” over the phone in long conversations (we live in California). With laughing, and sharing our joys, and at times, our tears too. Once while visiting her, we went bowling and what fun that was! I’ll always remember her “can do” spirit, as she climbed the ladder in her late 70’s to paint the garage or take on any task. I feel honored to be her namesake and she will be sorely missed.
You are a loving memory in my heart, Aunt Dorothy! Knowing that you are in God’s grace and presence. <3
