  20. My family has the cottage next door to the Tazic’s in Lake Geneva and we’ve been summer neighbor’s for over 30 years. I’ve watched Jerry’s children grow up and now have families of their own. His sister, Mary, kept us up to date with Jerry’s declining health so while the news was not a surprise, it was still sad. Our thoughts and prayers are of the family at this time. May your memories warm your hearts and keep his spirit a part of your lives forever.

  21. After reading the kind words above, I would like to express my gratitude for Gerry’s patience and positive attitude. Mr. Tazic was my eighth grade teacher at Holy Redeemer during the 1970-71 school year. I misbehaved and tried to manipulate him. However, he was forgiving and still had faith in me. Years later, I became a teacher with the Chicago Public Schools. Today I strive to be patient and positive with my students as Gerry was with me
    Thank you Gerry. Godspeed
