Rest peacefully, Karen. Your neighbors will miss you!
One of the pleasures of visiting Illinois was having a conversation with Karen, in which she would be funny, grouchy, cynical, kind, forgiving, knowledgeable, and surprising. I tried to persuade her to write a memoir; she responded with an eyeball roll and a sidelong glance. You can all see that glance, right? It would have been an engaging memoir! She will be missed for a long time. Marie Meigs Delaney Glidewell, Sarasota Florida.
