Family came first for Terese, and she adored her four grandchildren. She was a phenomenal cook, and everyone wanted to be seated at her table. She had a heart of gold and put others before herself, always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. Terese saw the good in people and everyone saw the great in her.
Terese was a proud graduate of Proviso East High School ’65. For more than 45 years her working career was providing administrative support in the legal field. The vast majority of that time was spent following the career and supporting her boss and good friend Richard Phelan. Stops along the way included the offices of Philip Corboy, Phelan, Pope & John, Cook County Board President, and Foley and Lardner. One of the highlights of her career was providing support during the Federal impeachment investigation of former US Speaker of the House, James Wright.
In her retirement, she spent much of her time enjoying traveling, shopping, especially treasure hunting at garage sales for her grandchildren, cooking, socializing with friends, and volunteering her time. But, her real joy came from spending as much time as she could with her beloved grandchildren. Their faces always lit up when Mimi entered the room, and even more so when she baked cookies and other sweets with them.
She’ll be missed dearly by all, so please go forward being kind to one another. She would want it this way.

Sincere condolences for your loss.
