Timothy W. Murphy

Timothy W. Murphy, age 52, of Corpus Christi, Texas.  Beloved husband of Sheri.  Loving father of Matt (fiancée Tina) Murphy and Jon Murphy.  Step-father of Brian Sawyer and Courtney (Luis) Rodriguez.  Devoted step-grandfather of Jessica and Jasmine Rodriguez.  Cherished son of Nona and the late Emmett Murphy and brother of Mary (Thomas) Nash, Dan (Sue) Murphy and Gary Murphy.  Fond uncle to many nieces and nephews.  A memorial visitation will be held 1-7 p.m. Saturday February 16th at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 301 75th St., Downers Grove.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association would be appreciated.  Funeral home phone 630-964-6500

  1. Tim lived around the corner from me growing up. I remember a nice guy with moppy blond curls and a beautiful smile. I’m very sorry for all that loved him. Keeping you in my thoughts.

  2. My heart goes out to the whole family with sorrow for the loss of Tim. He was around our house with Rick as kids a lot, always joking and smiling. Now he is with Gods family joking and smiling.

  3. To the Murphy Family, my deepest condolences. I had the opportunity to work with Tim for about 24 years at Ambitech. Tim will be missed. One of my fun memory of Tim, is how welcoming he was to me, every time I visited the Corpus Christy office, with a big warming hug and smiles. Rest in peace my friend!!!

    I knew and worked with Tim for several years before he relocated to Corpus Christi. He was always approachable and helpful . Tim was a great guy that will be missed.

  5. This is so sad. Sitting by Tim in my high school English class is one of my best memories from high school. My prayers and thoughts go out to all of Tim’s family and friends. He will be missed.

  6. So sorry to hear the sad news about Tim. Of course I haven’t seen him in years but my memories of him are from his Jefferson Junior High and DGN High School days. Tim was a good friend of my son, Ed, and I enjoyed many moments listening to those crazy kids. They always had good times! Always loved his dimples. May he rest in peace.
