  1. Very shocked and sad to hear about Irv passing. He was a good friend for many years. First knew him in school! In fact we shared the exact same birthday! We socialized as couples with many good times, , in our younger years. Sometimes at their house, sometimes here and often going out together. Evelyn and my husband Leroy both gone, but not forgotten. My deepest sympathy. I know he will be missed by many. Truly a fine gentleman!

  2. Wow…we are sad to learn of Irv’s passing. Like JoAnne Coy, Charmaine Husack Blessman (our mom) considered Irv a great friend, an outstanding bandleader and a gentleman. They were great friends in high school and for many years afterward. He loved Evelyn (his first wife and fellow Farragut High School grad) immensely. What fun they all had together. Our mom talked about he and Evelyn often, and they socialized much , even in recent years when Irv and Mom were widowed…they got together with Roland and Lorraine Milburn, all as great Farragut friends. Irv was a classy guy, and both our mom and dad had great respect for him. So sorry for your loss.

  3. Oh, we are so sorry to hear this. Our mom, Charmaine Husack Blessman,, thought Irv was a wonderful friend of hers for many years. She was a great friend of Evelyn’s and when they (Irv and Evelyn) were married, she was ecstatic. They socialized together (the four of them) for many years and our dad also thought that Irv was a standup, classy guy. His musical talents were terrific! Even after Dad, Evelyn and Irv‘s second wife passed,, Mom, Irv, and Lorraine/Roland Milburn got together often, to talk about Farragut High School old times. Luckily we just saw the obit. Please know that Mom and Dad loved living near the Nemeceks in LaGrange. They also loved Irv’s bandleading talents and his kind but fun sense of humor. We are so sorry for your loss. Hopefully you are very proud of your dad!!!

  4. I am the wife of the Late Charlie Reifschneider, Charlie and Irvin met in the Army and became great friends. Charlie would often go to Irvin and his wife Evelyn where Charlie would eat all the chocolate chip cookies. After Charlie’s death I became ” a pen pal” to Irvin, he was a great communicator, loved life, loved to joke and constantly bragged about his family and extended family. He told many “war” stories which always amused me. After several holidays and not hearing from Irv I decided to research the internet and much to my disappointment learned of his death. I miss his cards, calls, and his connection with my late husband who passed in 1993. RIP Irvin. Doris Reifschneider in Nebraska.
