Dorothy Fikar
Dorothy Fikar (Bundek), 90, of Westmont, IL. Beloved wife of the late Robert Fikar. Loving mother of Barbara (William) Connors and Alan Fikar. Devoted grandmother of Patrick, Thomas, Kelly, Kathleen Connors, Alan, Jr., Robert, and Rebecca. Born and raised in Chicago, to the late John and Barbara Bundek, Dorothy was the youngest of six children all deceased (Dear sister of the late John, George, Mike, Barbara, Katherine). Dear sister-in-law of Gloria (and the late Alex) Hudek. Fond aunt of Margie (Jack) Kovacic, Yvonne (Hugh) Binam, David Scott and the late John and Susan Hudek. Memorial Visitation 4 p.m. until time of Memorial Service at 8 p.m. Friday, June 14 at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 301-75th St (at Fairview Ave.), Downers Grove. Private inurnment Queen of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to: help support research to find cure for Niemann Pick C Disease (links below). Before retiring, Dorothy worked in an office as a Biller-Typist and was a member of the Teamsters Union. She and her late husband spent fifteen years living in Northern Wisconsin before returning to Westmont seven years ago.
