Alice L. Kratky, nee Nelson, age 93, passed away on August 31, 2019.   Born on September 21, 1925, to Oscar and Hilda Nelson, attended Fenger High School and then worked in the office of Swift and Co. for over 40 years.

 

She married Joseph T. Kratky on September 19, 1953 and they lived most of their married life in Oak Lawn.  The past 20 years, she has made her home at Presence Bethlehem Woods Retirement Community.

 

Alice will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews and the family of friends and staff at Bethlehem Woods. She was preceeded in death by her parents, husband, and sisters Hildur (Marvin) Carlson, Lillian (Edwin) Anderson, Dorothy (Richard) Olson and nieces Arlene (Richard) Dean  and Marge (Donald) Parenteau.

 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019, at 10 am at Presence Bethlehem Woods Retirement Community, 1571 W. Ogden Ave., LaGrange Park, IL 60526 in the Meeting Room on the second floor.

 

In lieu of flowers, please remember St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Mercy Home for Boys and Girls.
