Dorothy Ann Hostalek, age 85, of Creal Springs, formerly of LaGrange. Beloved wife of Oldrich Hostalek for more than 64 wonderful years. Loving mother of James, John, Laddie, and the late Thomas Hostalek. Devoted grandmother of James, Michael, David, Derek, Steve, Haley, Courtney, and Hunter. Great-grandmother of Jason, Ian, Matthew, Annabella, Cameron, Emmaline, and Lilliana. Dorothy was preceded in death by her mother Mary Ligman.
Dorothy was born the 4th of July, 1934, shortly after the end of the Great Depression. She grew up on the west side of Chicago surrounded by the dearest of family and friends. During her childhood and teen years, her mother, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends were her greatest loves and mentors. The support of so many became the pillars in the development of the most family-oriented, loving individual God placed in our midst.
In 1955, Dorothy and Oldrich married and faithfully raised four children. Through good times and bad, their marriage and love withstood the tests of time. Even with the loss of their eldest, beloved son, Thomas, and many other challenges in life; their vows before God never wavered. Dorothy, with her husband at her side, filled the hearts of all she met with joy, compassion and acceptance. Dorothy – devoted wife, loving mother, honored grandmother, cherished great-grandmother, caring aunt, prized niece, adoring cousin, and a sincere friend to so many.
Dorothy ascended to heaven on the 5th of February 2020. She will be both missed and celebrated forever more – may she rest in peace.

Our family Joseph and Zdenka Man and my sisters Hana and Eva looked forward to many New Years Day celebrations enjoying Uncle Al’s svickova and dumpling and Aunt Dorothy’s delicious bakery. Later on my sons Bob and Paul always could not wait to taste the delicious food and talking about the good old times around the table and the4 cousins getting together. These good memories are lasting a lifetime for all of us. Thank you Uncle Al and Aunt Dorothy. Sonia and Peter

Dorothy was a beautiful, fun loving cousin. We always had great times together. She never forgot anyone’s birthdays, anniversaries
and when the babies started to arrive in the family she made beautiful crocheted blankets. We always had so much fun when we played our card game. Love you and will miss so much. May you now rest in peace.
Love Sue & Joe
