Mary (Payne) Kahler, nee Deluca, 94, formerly, of Oak Lawn, is at peace in the Lord on March 28th, 2020. Mary is the beloved wife of the late William B. Kahler and is survived by her children, Jacqueline, Rosary, (Michael Hoy), Daniel (Sher McDonald), Audrey and Patti. She is an adoring Nanee to 13 grandchildren and 21 great grand children. She is preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Rose (nee Romano) Deluca, her brothers Sam, Phil and Joe and sister Prudence. She is survived by her dear sister Genevieve Delemater and many nieces and nephews. Mary lived a good life, full of humor, devotion to family and great cooking; always welcoming to friends and anyone who was hungry. Everyone was always welcomed to her table, her swimming pool and to a good party. She gave us all a good ride through life and will be dearly missed by all who know her.
Interment is private. Due to public health restrictions in force at this time, a memorial Mass celebrating her life will be held in the next few months.
I see the size of the family that mourns their beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother and realize her legacy. We should all live such a full and meaningful life. God Bless her and the entire family.
We are very sorry to hear of the passing of Aunt Mary.
she always had a smile on her face and love in her heart.
We always loved being at family gatherings with her. She
always treated you with a big hug..
Love Ron and April
Deluca
