John Anthony Nies, 82, of Oak Ridge Retirement Community in Manteno, formerly of Bolingbrook and Woodridge. Beloved husband of Carol. Loving father of Douglas (Nancy) Nies, Deborah (Gregory) Hoffman, Robert (Laura), David and Kenneth (late Sharon) Nies and Karen (Thomas) Rehagen. Devoted grandfather of 12. Dear great-grandfather of 6. Fond brother of Joan (late Albert) Karasch and the late Raymond Nies. Dear uncle of many. Visitation, Service and Interment private. Dear Daddy, My form of communication now is speaking to you from my heart and with prayers. I may not physically be able to touch you, but I feel your presence with me now and know I will continue to feel it always. My faith will guide me with the strength and courage I need to heal the void that is shared with many as I go forward today, tomorrow and in the future. As you begin your new journey in Heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ, may you rest in the peace and comfort you so much deserve.
