Carolyn G. Koehler
Carolyn G. Koehler, age 84, of Indian Head Park, formerly of Western Springs. Beloved sister of Robert Koehler, William (Edie) Koehler, Ron (Maureen) Koehler, and Patricia (Tom) Howard. Wonderful and caring “Auntie” and “Great-auntie.” She truly loved and enjoyed her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Cherished friend of many. Carolyn was preceded in death by her siblings Charles (Donna) Koehler, Richard (Marlene) Koehler, and Laverne (the late Gerald) Harpling & her parents Herbert and Ottilie Koehler. Carolyn was an avid bridge player and an outstanding hostess. She was a Lifetime Gold Master in Bridge. Her kindness, generosity, and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew her. Interment private. A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Rest In Peace
Carolyn was a long time member of the 20-30-40 Glass Society of Illinois. As an enthusiastic collector of depression era glass, she shared many moments of treasure collecting joy will fellow members. We all will miss her greatly.
I was acquainted with Carolyn as a fellow-volunteer at the Community Shop, which supports the good work of Pillars. She was always smiling, dramatically attired, and she always exuded a wonderful zest for life. She is greatly missed.
