Ronald A. Simpson, age 73, of Darien. US Marine Corps. Veteran / Vietnam War. Beloved husband of Nancy for 52 years. Loving father of Jeremy (Kimberly), Margo (Shawn Vargas) and Joel (Amy). Devoted grandfather of Amanda (David) Ivancicts, Jacqueline (Adam) Eldred, Alexandria, Benjamin, Grace and Leah. Great-grandfather of Isabella, Josephina, Aria, Jacob, Brooklyn, Jeremy and Eli. We are very sad to hear this. Ron was a good friend and a great steel player.
Also, a fellow brother Marine.. I was just about to send him a CD of one of our favorite Hawaiian steel player but I wasn’t fast enough and time ran out.

Dear Nancy,
We were so sorry to hear about Ron. We have known since
before you guys were married that you were both something special.
Some of my fondest memories are of playing guitar with Ron.
I always felt privileged to be able to share in his talent…he was a one
of the finest men we have ever known, and will be missed by all who
knew and loved him. Please convey our deep regards to Jeremy, Margo
and Joel as well as their loved ones.
