Consuelo “Connie” Ayalin Pido Buenvenida, born on April 3, 1938, peacefully passed away at home in Woodridge, Illinois, on July 16, 2020. Connie’s sunny smile, warm heart, and loving embrace will be most dearly missed by her loving and devoted husband of 55 years, Tomas Jr.; her children Joseph (Angeli), Carissa, Maria, Paul (Gary), and Winston (Cecilia); and her grandchildren Colin, Nicholas, Mark, and Katherine. Connie enjoyed traveling and cooking, genuinely cared for those around her, and relished living her faith in God. She wholeheartedly loved life because in this life lived her most precious of treasures – her family, her home. And in the final moments of her courageous journey, even as the spirits of her loved ones beckoned for her, she patiently waited until she heard and felt the presence of her living family. Only then did she take the Lord’s hand and chose to live eternally. I’ll always remember Ma’am Connie as a warm, gentle, and genuinely friendly person. As my co-instructor at Kumon, she loved teaching young kids. On a few occasions we enjoyed talking in Hiligaynon, our native language from Iloilo, the Philippines. Farewell, Ma’am Connie. We’ll miss you very much. Prayers and condolences to the entire Buenvenida family.

Manang Connie,
As your only brother, my family (my wife, Cristine, our children, and grandchildren) will miss you so much. We cherish the memories we have shared with you. Your helpfulness particularly helping me translated my homework in “Noli Me Tangere” during my younger years will be forever etched in my heart, and endlessly re-told particularly to your children and grandchildren.
Thank you for all your prayers. Thank you for sharing with me, Cristine, and our youngest son, Jemjem, your love and devotion to St. Therese of Child Jesus. When we come back to visit Manong Tom and our cousins, Jaybee (Angie), Sassa, Poy (Gary), and Winston (Cecilia), we will surely go to St. Therese of Child Jesus Shrine and BE with you together praying to Her (St. Therese) for our families, children, and grandchildren.
Manang Connie, I will miss your words of saying to me “I love you” every time we speak on the phone or in person. Please take with you our love and gratitude, and share this to Tatay, Nanay, and Manang Cely. In Jesus, Joseph, and Mary through St. Therese of Child Jesus!
Our heartfelt condolences go out to you and the entire Buenvenida family. “She was a lovable & kind person. Surely we will missed that beautiful smile”. May her soul Rest In Peace.
Our thoughts and prayers.
