Margaret “Peg” MacDonald, age 97, of Downers Grove, formerly a longtime south side resident.  Beloved wife of the late David who preceded Peg in death 9 months ago after 73 years of marriage.  Loving mother of Janet (Michael) Cain, Robin (Jack) Krynicki, Neil (late Nora) MacDonald, Eric (Tina) MacDonald and Paul (Mary) MacDonald.  Devoted nana of 14 and great-nana of 20.  Dear sister of the late Beryl Davies.  Fond aunt to many.  Peg was a war bride who was proud of her Welsh ancestry and her US citizenship.  Visitation 2-6 p.m. Sunday September 13^th at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 301 75^th St., Downers Grove.  Funeral Mass 10 a.m. Monday September 14^th at St. Mary of Gostyn Church, 445 Prairie Ave, Downers Grove.  Entombment Assumption Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, share a cup of tea and good memories with someone you love.
