Eugene J. Skorepa
Eugene J. Skorepa, age 92, US Marine & Army Veteran, of Brookfield. Beloved husband of Ardala Skorepa and the late Dolores Skorepa. Loving father of the late Kathy (late Richard) Provost, Judy (Ruben) Diaz, Susan (Edward) Cunat, the late Curt (Mari) Monson, Craig (Gina) Monson, and Glenn Monson. Devoted grandfather of 10, great-grandfather of 25, and great-great-grandfather of 2. Eugene was preceded in death by his parents James and Juanita Skorepa and 3 siblings, Raymond, Doris, and Charles. Fond uncle and friend of many.
Eugene loved repairing and building things and working around his house and garden with his wife. He enjoyed puzzles. Above all, Eugene loved his growing family.
Visitation 3 to 8pm Sunday, April 18th at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Group limit of 50 guests in the chapel at a time. Masks required. Family and friends are invited to meet at Faith Lutheran Church, 3801 Madison Ave., Brookfield, IL 60513 for continued visitation from 10am until time of Funeral Service 11am on Monday, April 19th. Group limit of 100 at church. Masks required. Interment to follow at Mount Auburn Cemetery, Stickney. Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church, Brookfield and the American Lung Association.
