Louie DaDan passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Loyola University Medical Center with his mom, dad, and sister, Ella, at his side. His life will be celebrated on Saturday, May 15th at his home where he felt most safe and secure and loved to be. Anyone who wants to stop by may do so from 4-7 pm, 6721 Sunset Avenue in Countryside. There will be an outside service from 5:30 to 6 to remember and honor Louie’s life. Dress is casual and please wear your favorite sneakers.
Louie was a fast, strong boy who excelled in football, diving, skiing, and gaga ball. He was very intelligent and oddly good at spelling. He loved history and science and could read at lightning speed. More than anything, Louie valued family and friendship and his beloved dogs, Charlie and Bentley. He was a loyal friend and had a heart for the hurting. He was stylish, cool, a connoisseur of expensive sneakers, and admittedly handsome!
Louie’s life was complex — he faced struggles each day that most of us do not. He fought to the best of his ability. His big laugh is our greatest memory.
Donations in memory of Louie may be made to Child Link, an organization devoted to all children and youth in need of support.
