Say hi to Linda, Dad and Gene
Rest in Peace my special cousin. Will miss your wonderful smile and laugh.
Tommy,Jason,Chris and John.
My deepest condolences. Uncle Jerry was a great guy, and the most dynamic Uncle anyone could hope to have. I loved his exciting energy! His Jokes were legendary, only surpassed by his crazy stories even the true ones.
He will be remembered fondly and painfully missed.
Sincerely
Mike Lucido
It is so hard to say goodbye to a great long-time friend. You have given me fond memories going back to the early 1970s when we met as neighbors at our first homes in Downers Grove. Our shared European trip of a lifetime in 2000 was beyond my expectations and is impossible to forget. We shared good times and sad times when we had to bid our loving wives goodbye not that long ago. Your great kids and grandkids are awesome and I consider them my friends as well. I will dearly miss you.
I just learned of Jerry’s passing today. I am so sad but know he and my deceased husband are enjoying their heavenly time together. They served on the SAC Elite Guard together. RIP Guardsmen!
JERRY AND I GO WAY BACK TO 1965 WHEN WE WERE BOTH ON SAC GUARD TOGETHER. WE HAD A NORMAL RELATIONSHIP AS FELLOW AIRMEN, BUT WHAT SET HIM APART WAS HIS STORIES AND LAUGHTER. OUR FIRST REUNION WAS IN 2004 IN OMAHA,NB. WE WERE ALWAYS KNOWN AS THE ROUDY “C FLITE” AND WE LIVED UP TO THAT MONIKER. JERRY AND LINDA,DAN MACKINNON,JIM CHAMBERS,BOB “PAPPY” FORSYTHE AND SANDY, ALONG WITH ME AND MY WIFE CONNIE WERE AT ONE OF THE MANY TABLES. THERE WERE DIFFERENT SPEAKERS BUT WE WERE LAUGHING AND TALKING AND REMONISING TOO LOUD THAT THEY HAD TO ASK US TO “SHUT UP FOR A WHILE”. THAT LASTED ABOUT TEN MINUTES. IN MY LIFETIME IT WAS ONE OF GTHE BEST EXPERIENCES I’LL EVER HAVE AND DID NOT WANT IT TO END. WHEN I RETURNED TO BALTIMORE, I WOULD STOP WHAT I WAS DOING AND JUST THINK ABOUT THAT FIRST REUNION. SADLY, ONLY DAN AND MYSELF ARE STILL HERE, BUT FOR HOW LONG? THANK YOU JERRY FOR YOUR CRAZY HUMOR AND INFECTIOUS SMILE. YOUR FRIEND GEORGE KLIMM.
Dad going to miss see you soon.
Jerry was a good friend. Was blessed to be in his wedding. Blessed to have served with him in the Air Force. Bennette Poole
