William Joseph Uhler III, age 70, of Indian Head Park, Illinois, passed away on August 6th, 2021, surrounded by his family, after battling pancreatic cancer.
William was born on June 13th, 1951 to William Joseph Uhler and Anne Uhler in Evergreen Park, Illinois. After graduating from Lyons Township High School, he went on to college and then ran a successful family business, McCook Drum and Barrel Company, for many years.
William will be most remembered for his love for his family. He enjoyed many special times with his family in Illinois, Indiana, Colorado, and Florida. William loved being by the water, taking walks, taking golf cart rides with the grandkids, mowing the lawn especially on the riding mower, taking the kids on the boat and tubing, fishing, and most of all just being with his family. William and Colleen celebrated their 49th anniversary in August of this year.
William was preceded by his parents, William Joseph and Anne Uhler. He was survived by his wife, Colleen Ann Uhler, his children Jennifer (John) Ahrens, Paul (Kate) Uhler, Keith (Michelle) Uhler, and Kyle (Vanessa) Uhler, and his 8 grandchildren, Dean, Jacob, Paige, Avery, Mykhaela, Ysabella, Ashley, and Matthew.
There will be a brief memorial ceremony at Queen of Heaven Cemetery at 1400 South Wolf Road, Hillside, IL 60161 at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 14th. Please meet at the office at 10:45 am.

We’ve known the family since the fifties, his father and mother and mine. They came for dinner too. Business associates too in the drum business. I even worked at their recycling plant one hot summer too as a boy in about 1970. We sold drums for them too.
Triangle sales was formed with them.
They worked hard at it. Bill 111 was key and smart at it.
Nice family. Bill 111 and I were about the same age.
Our family lived in Westchester.
