Joyce Lorraine Majerick
Joyce Lorraine Majerick: January 16, 1930 – September 8, 2021. Beloved wife of 67 years to the late Joseph R. Majerick; loving mother to Michael (Jeannie) Majerick, Janet (Michael) Miller, Laura (Doug) Brauninger, Sarah Majerick, Joseph W. Majerick and “adopted” daughter Christine Turlek; devoted grandmother to Matt, Tierney, Mark (Sabrina), Morgan (Aaron), Devon, and Stasia. Lorraine was a long-time parishioner of St. John of the Cross and had many friends. She was a creative and fantastic quilter who left a lasting legacy to her family. Funeral Mass 11am Saturday, September 18, 2021 at St. John of the Cross Church, Western Springs. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial gift to Mercy Home for Boys and Girls (mercyhome.org), Wellness House for Living with Cancer (wellnesshouse.org) or to the Adventist St. Thomas Hospice Program. My Aunt Rainey….a life well-lived.
I always loved running into Lorraine and Joe at church. I met them through Christina Turlek and was do happy to have known both of them. Kind, loving, always willing to lend a hand. Always smiling. God rest her sweet soul. She’s with Joe again.
Lorraine and Joe were wonderful neighbors. My family always enjoyed visiting with them and I will always treasure their kind words for our sons. We will miss Lorraine. We hope good memories sustain you during this difficult time.
