  1. To Aunt, Joe

    You were Beautiful, Eloquent,
and as well tough as they say,Nails.
I believe you had no choice in surviving
three brothers and later part of a depression, then WWII.
After many trials without your brothers and husbands.
    You are among them all.
    In Wine,Pasta and Song
    God Bless, Peace is yours
    Love 💙 Joey

  2. Wonderful and warming person to leave us but now having eternal life in heaven.

    1. So sorry to hear about the loss of Josephine.Year ago Lori Davis brought me over to Josephine’s house to meet her. I am so glad that I got to know her.

  3. Remembering the wonderful cozy times at her little Oak Lawn home during my visits from college. She sure made some awesome pasta dishes and desserts! A truly kind and generous lady!

  4. Aunt Jo was the last of our parents’ generation. She was the Matriarch. A pillar of love, encouragement, and strength. Unbelievable strength. We enjoyed a very special, lifelong relationship. She was much more than an aunt to me. She was everything. Sue became an important part of that relationship, as did our entire family. Everyone that met her loved her. None more than me.

  5. Josephine was such a treasure here at The Timbers! She was our reigning Prom Queen as she was so eloquent, kind, gentle & funny. I used to wait for her and her best friend, Edna, to come down for dinner just so I could laugh with them. I was so saddened to hear that she had passed, but I know she is no longer suffering and she is with God. She is and has been greatly missed here. Coming to work just isn’t the same with my Queen Jo, as I used to call her. In the years I have worked here, she & Edna are by far my two favorite people. She stole my heart as well as my daughter’s who has worked here as a CNA for a couple of years. Jo would make it a point to ask me about her every time I saw her when my daughter had to leave to continue her nursing degree. Jo always had encouraging words for me to pass along to my daughter. We are both very sad to let her go. God bless you & keep you, Jo!

  6. So sorry to hear of mother’s passing! She was blessed to have lived a good, long life. Please know I am sending you lots of healing thoughts and prayers.
