“Chip” was a boyhood friend who played many hours of baseball with his friends in our Riverdale neighborhood. His dream was to be a Vet and darned if he didn’t make it come true. I will miss him !!
Wally and I worked together to create one of the finest veterinary technician programs in the country. He had a passion for animal care and a real talent for teaching what he loved to students. The students had a name for all his famous sayings, they called them “Stein-isms”. They loved those so much that they created shirts printed with them.
When you met him, he had a way of making you feel like you had been a long-time friend.
Wally, I will never forget your expertise, dynamic personality, hard work, dedication, and friendship.
Rest in peace my friend.
Some of us even named our adopted cats after him.
Thank you so much Scott. Your friendship has meant so much over the years.
I had the pleasure of having Dr. Stein as my large animal medicine instructor. He was not only an amazing teacher but had such a respect and admiration for the animals that provide for us agriculturally. He would have a tear in his eye whenever he spoke of the importance of fair and humane practices. I looked up to him and take his love and respect for all creatures great and small with me daily. He will be greatly missed. Thank you, Wally B.
Thank you.
I met Wally when he joined Elmhurst model railroad club and quickly became friends. Like minded, we both loved country scenes. We teamed up and help put our visions in the 3 dimensional scenes, meeting almost every Tuesday night before Covid hit. We fed off of each other’s modeling abilities and created 2 great scenes on the narrow gauge layout at Elmhurst Model Road club. His dairy farm and 2 tall trestless are a site to be seen. The model Railroad community and the club will miss a talented builder and I will miss a good friend.
