Joyce Marie Huber Shanley, age 70, of LaGrange, IL. Beloved wife of Joseph Shanley; loving mother of Michael (Diana) Huber and Daniel (Jackie) Huber; dear step-mother of Ryan (Kara) Shanley; cherished grandmother of Pearl, Ronnie, & Viera Huber, Sammy & Francesca Huber, and Will, Jack, Winnie, Kate, and the late Dorothy Shanley; devoted sister of the late Laura (Tracey) Murphy and the late George Bertolozi; daughter of the late Lina Bertolozi; loyal aunt of Frank (Jennifer) Murphy, Cari (Jim) Pajauskas, Mike (Ashley) Murphy, & Patti (Patrick) Cella; great-aunt and friend of many. Joyce retired in 2012 from her 38-year career as a teacher in early childhood education with the Chicago Public Schools. Visitation 4 to 8pm Thursday, Dec. 16 at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55^th St., Countryside. Funeral prayers 9:30am Friday, Dec. 17 from the funeral home to St. Francis Xavier Church, LaGrange. Mass 10am. Interment private. Memorial donations in Joyce’s honor given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital are appreciated.
