Carolyn L. Culhane (54) of Western Springs, loving sister of Jim (Molly) and dear aunt of Caitlin and Ryan, passed away April 29, 2022, in her home of 54 years.

Carolyn was born in Oak Park, Illinois to Patrick and Marilee Culhane. She graduated from Lyons Township High School and was a lifelong resident of Western Springs, Illinois.

Carolyn’s true calling was that of a care giver. With passion, patience and an empathetic heart Carolyn cared for her aunt, grandmother, and mother. Her caring spirit and strength will be missed by everyone who knew her.

Carolyn was a devoted cousin to Myles (Leslie), Jerry (Melissa), and Steve (Marci) Culhane; dear aunt of Brendon (Amy), Kyle (Layne), Michael, Meghan, Jackson, and Quinn Culhane.  She was always the “cool” aunt and was the kids’ biggest cheerleader at their sporting events or school activities. As a long-suffering Cubs fan, she was ecstatic when they won the World Series.

Carolyn loved her little dogs who were forever by her side and truly lived life to the fullest.

Visitation will be held Thursday May 5, 2022, at Hallowell & James Funeral Home from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm followed by a prayer service at 7 pm. Hallowell & James is located at 1025 West 55^th Street, Countryside, Illinois. Funeral info: (708) 352-6500

Carolyn will be laid to rest in Ashland, Wisconsin in the family plot with her beloved mother Marilee, grandparents, and great grandparents.
