Catherine “Kay” Jakicic (nee Marchese), age 90, of Indian Head Park. Beloved wife of the late George Jakicic for a wonderful 57 years. Loving mother of Cathy Jakicic and Jo Ann (Andrew) McGarry. Devoted grandmother of Meghan, Erin, and Caitlin McGarry. Dear niece, cousin, and friend of many. Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas and Amelia Marchese.

Kay will be remembered for her love of family, especially her granddaughters. Kay was a longtime teacher and active member of St. Jude the Apostle Parish.

Visitation 3 to 8pm Tuesday, September 6^th at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55^th St., Countryside. Family and friends to meet at St. John of the Cross Church, 5005 Wolf Road, Western Springs for 11am Mass on Wednesday, September 7^th. Entombment to follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Evergreen Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association.
