Sally A. Cozza

Sally (Bulfer) Cozza, age 93, a former resident of Western Springs and longtime resident of Beacon Hill in Lombard passed away peacefully and surrounded by her loving family on February 10, 2023.  Born in Bedford Park in 1929, Sally was the daughter of August and Agnes (Kelly) Bulfer.  Preceded in death by her sisters Ann (Jack) Herron and Margaret (Harry) Wisch. Sally graduated from Trinity High School in River Forest.

In 1952, she married the love of her life, John F. Cozza, who passed away in 2015.  Together, they had seven children: Tom (Mary), Jim (deceased 1977), Paul (Liz), Jay (Laura), Dan (Laura), Phil (Lynn), and Barbara (John) Gordon.  Sally was the much-loved grandmother of 19 and the great-grandmother of 17. Cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews.

A heartfelt thank you from the Cozza family to the incredible staff of Beacon Hill in Lombard who served Sally and John for over 20 years.  Also thank you to Three Oaks Hospice and staff for their care of Sally these last months.

Visitation and a funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, February 15th at St. John of the Cross Church, 5005 Wolf Rd., Western Springs.  Visitation will be from 10am-11am with the funeral mass immediately following from 11am-noon.  Interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
