Romelia Estrada, age 64, of Brookfield and formerly of Rancho Viejo, Guerrero. Beloved wife of Simon; loving mother of Trinidad, Norma, Yajaira (Usbaldo), Simon Jr., & Gabriel (Luz); proud grandmother of Judy (Antonio), Andrea, Daisy, Abel, Mariana, Magaly, Marlene, Julie, Ariel, Jessica, & Aidan; dear sister of Alfonso, Adauto, Erlinda, Rosa, Tomas, Melania, & Marcelino; aunt & friend of many.
Romelia was a person that you would have been lucky to have in your life for any amount of time. Those of us who had the gift of being loved by her for years do not have enough words to describe how incredible she was, but we will try. Hardworker is not even enough to begin to describe how much she would always do for everyone and how much she would excel at her work. She always focused on what was best for her family and keeping everyone united. She loved to cook and would always make sure everyone had at least a taco. You would never be able to leave her house without getting a bite of something, whether you were hungry or not. There was a side of her that not many were able to witness and it was how silly/funny she could be. One thing she loved was her plants. She would love picking out the most colorful ones and planting them in her front yard. She also loved her zapateado anytime we were at a gathering you’d see her on the dance floor. Ama did not have a specific hobby, but looking back her hobby was taking care of her family. Nobody will be able to replace the way she would spoil and look out for each and every one of us. Romelia was a simple woman with the kindest and purest heart. She left our side way too soon. We will always miss you ama.
