Sister Mary Peter McGinty, C. S. J., age 98.  Beloved member of The  Congregation of St. Joseph, celebrating 75 years of Religious Life.  Sister Mary Peter was born in Chicago, IL on March 2, 1925 to James McGinty and Edith Hyngstrom.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Sr. Carolyn McGinty, C. S. J.  Sister Mary Peter received her Bachelor of Arts degree in French from St. Xavier University, Chicago, IL, her Master of Arts degree in theology and her Doctorate in theology, both from Marquette University, Milwaukee, WI.  She taught at Nazareth Academy, LaGrange Park, IL, Rosary College (now Dominican University), River Forest, IL, Marquette University, St. Mary of the Lake Seminary, Mundelein, IL, Loyola University, Chicago, IL, St. Francis Xavier, LaGrange, IL, St. Cletus, LaGrange, IL, St. John Fisher, Chicago, IL,  and St. Leonard, Berwyn, IL.  Funeral Liturgy and Interment have been held.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to The Congregation of St. Joseph appreciated.  Arrangements entrusted to Hallowell & James Funeral Home at 708/352-6500 or www.hjfunerals.com
